Phanom dong rak: Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, distributed relief bags to disaster victims and Village Defense Volunteers in the Phanom Dong Rak District of Surin Province, emphasizing the government’s commitment to providing full relief measures.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Jiraporn visited the La-Ao Village Hall, located in Village No. 4, Chik Daek Subdistrict, where she distributed relief supplies to members of the Village Security Force and residents affected by the Thai-Cambodian border situation. The event was attended by Mr. Chamnan Chuenta, Governor of Surin Province, along with the Surin Provincial Executive Committee.
Ms. Jiraporn expressed the government’s concern for the well-being of the people and all sectors involved. She noted that although the situation is showing signs of improvement, the government remains focused on ensuring safety and facilitating the needs of the people. Measures are being expedited to assist those affected, including escorting individuals back to their homes from temporary shelters. The government has implemented relief measures such as suspending electricity bills for the months of July and August in the affected areas, increasing payments to Village Defense Volunteers, providing physical and mental support for victims, and creating employment opportunities.
During her visit, Ms. Jiraporn distributed relief bags to 15 village security guards and 60 affected households, reaffirming the government’s dedication to providing comprehensive relief to those in need.
