Kadirejo Dadi Rejo; Community Service Lecturer of Agroecotechnology FPP UNDIP on Animal Feed, Composting and Bacterial Propagation

On June 1, 2022, to coincide with the birthday of Pancasila, the Agroecotechnology Service Team of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University, held community service with animal feed materials and fertilizer technology.

This event was held at the initiative of the Head of Kadirejo Village, Pabelan, Semarang who has a vision of realizing Kadirejo Agro Park as an educational tourism destination based on agriculture, animal husbandry, local wisdom and natural beauty on 9 ha village land.

Pak Riyadi, the Head of Kadirejo Village, revealed that this community service activity from the Undip team was the opening step, “After this, Undip Lecturers are welcome to do research here, we will feel accompanied, and we are grateful, open ourselves, and the village for scientific research. ” he said at the opening of the event.

In the first session of socialization conducted by Mr. Dr. Ir. Sutarno who explained about the various kinds of animal feed that already exist in Kadirejo Village, namely indigofera, calliandra, turi, gamal, Zanzibar, and lodho continued about the concept of multistrata plants which are actually local wisdom, namely the intercropping plant system by utilizing differences in plant heights. “By utilizing different plant heights, land use will be more effective because land can be used for food, shelter, and feed at the same time,” said this senior lecturer in his presentation of the material.

The second session was followed by a presentation about the manufacture of fertilizers and the propagation of bacteria which was explained by Dr. Ir. Susilo Budiyanto, M.Si, “ All of you Panjenengan I think you are familiar with organic fertilizers and bacterial explanations, now in this sharing session, I hope it can add enthusiasm to trying to make and istiqomah using the resources around you (ed-especially for composting), because in this village the availability of fertilizer is abundant”,

The experience sharing session by Septrial Arafat, SP, MP on fertilizer production and bacterial propagation emphasized that failure to make fertilizer once or twice is normal. However, if you continue to try and learn from these failures, later you may find an original method that only the residents of Kadirejo Village have this method.

At the end of the event, Mr. Ir. Didik Wisnu Widjajanto, M.Sc, Ph.D., closed the event by saying that “Lecturers of Agroecotechnology FPP Undip welcome further cooperation, especially on research in Kadirejo Village, Pabelan, Semarang”. Hopefully this good start on the day of the birth of Pancasila can make Kadirejo Village dadi Rejo.
