Kadjebi: The Kadjebi District of the Church of Pentecost has held its annual thanksgiving service in honour of security agencies operating within the district, bringing officers together in worship and gratitude to God for His protection throughout the year.
According to Ghana News Agency, the service, dubbed 'Officers in Worship,' was held on Tuesday, December 23, and attracted personnel from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Ghana National Ambulance Service, among other security institutions.
Held under the theme: 'Let us Give Thanks to the Lord, for He is Good,' the service sought to unite officers in thanksgiving to God for His guidance, safety, and strength in the discharge of their duties over the past year, while also committing the year ahead into God's hands.
Delivering the keynote address, the District Pastor, Pastor Samuel Ohene Abeka, underscored the importance of gratitude as a core aspect of the Christian faith, drawing lessons from Luke 17:11-19, the account of the ten lepers.
He reminded the officers that recognising God's goodness and returning to Him with thanksgiving was a mark of true faith and humility.
Quoting Psalm 107:1, Pastor Abeka encouraged the officers to remain thankful in all circumstances and urged them to view their roles in national security not merely as occupations, but as divine callings to serve humanity and protect the nation.
He further prayed for wisdom, protection, and renewed strength for the officers as they continued to uphold law and order in their respective areas of responsibility.
Commanders and representatives of the various security agencies present, commended the Church of Pentecost for organising the service, describing it as timely and spiritually uplifting.
The 'Officers in Worship' thanksgiving service has become a major annual event in Kadjebi, fostering unity, cooperation, and spiritual renewal among the security agencies as they prepare for the challenges of the coming year.
