Kanchanaburi: The War Elephants are gearing up to face the Iraqi national team at 8:00 PM in their quest to defend the title in the 51st King’s Cup, held in Kanchanaburi Province. This tournament marks a significant moment of pride for Thailand and the local residents.

According to Thai News Agency, the 51st King’s Cup Football Tournament is not just a sporting event but a celebration for Kanchanaburi Province, which has transformed Kleep Bua Stadium into a historic venue. Residents from various districts have traveled to the stadium, demonstrating their support and turning it into a symbol of Thai football pride. This enthusiasm marks the occasion when the War Elephants take the field to defend their championship title.

Fans have also shown their support by purchasing “Thai People Love Thai Football” shirts for 350 baht each. This initiative by the Football Association of Thailand aims to back the national team and realize the collective dream of elevating Thai football.

In terms of team readiness, all players are reported to be in top condition. The lineup, led by coach Ishii, features several strategic changes. Patiwat Khammai is set as the goalkeeper, with Natthaphong Sayriya and Suphan Thongsong in defense. Nicholas Mickelson and Suphanan Burirat are positioned as left-back and right-back, respectively. The midfield comprises Peeradon Chamratsamee, Benjamin Davis, and Chanathip Songkrasin, while Supachai Sarachat and Ekanit Panya cover the flanks. Supachai Jaided will play as the center forward.
