Bangkok: “Kla Tham” has sent the names and history to the Cabinet Secretary. The spokesman said the party is ready to be a hand in creating stability for the government. Mr. Akkhasan Khiri Lohwira, Chaiyaphum MP and spokesman for the Kla Tham Party, announced the results of the party meeting, emphasizing the urgency for MPs to engage with the public and address the immediate need to form a government to tackle pressing issues, including international conflicts and public needs.
According to Thai News Agency, the Kla Tham Party asserts its capability under the leadership of Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, who serves as the party’s advisor, leader, and secretary. The party is committed to contributing to government stability and supporting the Prime Minister’s work. The party also expressed confidence in its ability to secure positions in the South, Northeast, or North regions in the next election.
The meeting also covered the topic of a cabinet reshuffle. The Pheu Thai Party coordinated with Kla Tham to submit names and histories to the Cabinet Secretary for review. While the appointment of ministers or assistants is at the Prime Minister’s discretion, the party confirmed that Mr. Atthakorn Sirilathayakorn would replace Mr. Itthi Sirilathayakorn as minister. Other appointments await official announcements.
The position of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives was not discussed, pending parliamentary sessions and coalition party consultations. The possibility of Kla Tham nominating a candidate for this position remains open.
Regarding the Bhumjaithai Party’s announcement of a potential motion of no confidence in the government, the Kla Tham Party spokesman indicated that the issue would be discussed with the government whip. They will wait for the motion to be submitted to parliament and assess who will be included. The spokesman expressed confidence in the Prime Minister and ministers’ ability to address any concerns raised in a no-confidence motion.
