Kwan Unveils New Evidence Against Popular Senator in Molestation Case, Commits to Pursue Legal Action

Bangkok: A female advisor to the Senate subcommittee has disclosed further evidence implicating a well-known senator in a molestation case. She asserted her determination to pursue legal action to its conclusion, refusing to compromise or be intimidated.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Kwan, an advisor to the Senate subcommittee, recounted the events in detail, revealing she met the senator between September and October 2024. Initially, the senator showed interest in a friend of hers, but the situation changed when her friend experienced personal issues. Despite maintaining a cordial relationship at the parliament building, an incident on May 6 led to serious allegations.

Ms. Kwan narrated that after wishing the senator a happy birthday, he invited her to dinner. She declined due to concerns over possible alcohol consumption and suggested a dessert outing instead. Security footage from the dessert shop confirmed their presence there, with no alcohol involved.

Later that evening, Ms. Kwan reported feeling coerced when the senator insisted on returning to his condo under the pretense of needing to use the bathroom. A lengthy negotiation ensued, and despite her reluctance, she was taken to the condo. Ms. Kwan described experiencing panic and distress during this time. Allegedly, she was sexually assaulted but managed to escape after pleading for it to stop.

Following the incident, Ms. Kwan has avoided direct communication with the senator. When the senator attempted to visit her home, she refused to meet, opting instead to communicate through her lawyer. She remains steadfast in her resolve to legally address the situation, emphasizing that the police are gathering evidence for the prosecutor.

Ms. Kwan expressed no fear of counter-complaints, confident in her legal rights and evidence. Despite the emotional toll, she finds strength in the support from friends and the media, reaffirming her commitment to seeing the legal process through to the end.
