Bangkok: The legal dispute involving Due Arisara has concluded amicably with the return of a Bvlgari necklace and two Hermes bags. All parties involved have agreed to withdraw the lawsuit.
According to Thai News Agency, Attorney Aing, representing Due Arisara, along with Ms. Natthachuda Punthanawat, a representative of the brand-name company, and other involved attorneys, facilitated the return of the Bvlgari necklace valued at 7 million baht and two Hermes bags worth 3.4 million baht. These items were originally borrowed from Ms. May Wasana and subsequently pawned.
Attorney Aing explained that today’s negotiations focused on returning all borrowed assets to Ms. May. The Bvlgari necklace was handed over to investigators with experts present for verification, while the Hermes bags, which had been pawned, were also returned. Following this, the brand-name company, Ms. May, and the representative for the pawned items agreed to withdraw all legal charges, including the embezzlement case filed at the Crime Suppression Division.
The settlement includes a structured payment plan, where the parties involved will make debt payments within a year, starting with 100,000 baht for the first six months, followed by 200,000 baht per month. This arrangement applies to both companies involved.
Attorney Aing conveyed Mr. Dew’s gratitude and apologies, noting his commitment to fulfilling the financial obligations on time. Attorney Arth, representing Ms. May, expressed appreciation for the police’s efforts in recovering the items and mentioned providing financial assistance to Mr. Dew to aid in reimbursement.
Attorney Witthayu confirmed that a request to withdraw the lawsuit was already filed with the court, and a similar request will be filed with the Pathumwan Police Station. Ms. Natthajuda from the brand-name company expressed relief and gratitude towards all parties involved, clarifying that the return of items was a business decision.
Mr. Peeranthon, representing Benz Arirat, confirmed the return of the Hermes bag and stated that if the financial obligations are not met within a year, a civil lawsuit may be pursued. He clarified that Benz initially accepted the bag from Dew without knowing its true ownership and filed a fraud report, which he will now withdraw following the resolution.
At the conclusion of the discussions, all legal representatives joined hands, marking the peaceful resolution of the dispute with the return of the items and withdrawal of charges.
