Bangkok: ‘Lawyer Narawit’ revealed that the approach to fighting the rice pledging case is promising.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Narawit Lahlaeng, the lawyer representing former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, visited the Thai Khu Fah building at Government House, spending an hour and a half there. Although he declined to meet with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Mr. Narawit expressed his readiness to handle the rice pledging compensation case if given the chance. He mentioned that the direction of the legal battle shows a positive trend, but refrained from disclosing specific details.
During his visit, Mr. Narawit met with Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, the Prime Minister’s Secretary, rather than Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister. His meeting at the Thai Building indicates possible strategic discussions regarding the ongoing legal issues faced by the former prime minister.
