After a gang of migrant workers in Chiang Mai attacked a teenager and severed her wrist with a sword last week, 15 suspects were arrested, and a pursuit led to the capture of Mr. Top, the leader of the Shan 999 gang, who was about to flee to Cambodia.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Top has an unusual history, having led a gang in Bangkok with more than 100 members. Mr. Top admitted to being upset that he didn’t know his victim was a woman.
