Pak chong: Social media is buzzing with criticism of a video clip of a Lieutenant Colonel drunk driving a sedan and crashing into the back of a motorcycle. Police took him to the station, where he complained that he refused to take a breathalyzer test.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident took place in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, on the evening of September 26th. The lieutenant colonel crashed his sedan into the back of a motorcycle, injuring the motorcyclist. Video footage shows the driver appearing to be intoxicated, prompting police to take him to the station in an attempt to calm him down. Despite the officers’ persuasion, he continued to rant and initially refused to take a breathalyzer test. Eventually, he agreed but performed the test incorrectly, resulting in a false alcohol level.
Reporters have stated that an investigation revealed the soldier had returned from a retirement party. He resides in the Nong Sarai Subdistrict. Pak Chong Police Station is preparing to summon him to acknowledge charges on Monday, which include reckless driving resulting in an accident that injured one person, resisting an officer’s duty, and insulting an officer.
