Yala: Police are actively searching for the individual responsible for the fatal shooting of a Krong Pinang Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) member, who was killed in front of his home in Krong Pinang District. The authorities are exploring two potential motives behind the attack: a personal vendetta or an attempt to create a disruptive situation.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident involved an unknown group of assailants who opened fire on Mr. Isma-ae Kajae, 61, as he was parking his pickup truck and about to enter his residence in Ban Lue Mu, Krong Pinang District. The examination of Mr. Kajae’s body showed 12 bullet wounds, with shots to the chest, torso, left arm, and face. This tragic event occurred at 9:22 p.m. on September 22.
Following the incident, officers from the Krong Pinang Police Station arrived at the scene this morning to collect evidence. They discovered a pool of blood near the victim’s vehicle, but no bullet casings were recovered. Preliminary investigations suggest a personal motive may be involved, although the possibility of an incident intended to provoke a situation has not been dismissed.
Mr. Aduanan Hamidong, the village headman of Village No. 8 in Lue Mu Subdistrict, reported hearing 15 gunshots around 9:22 p.m. He was subsequently informed by the victim’s wife about the shooting and promptly alerted the police.
Mr. Aduan described the deceased as a friendly individual who had no known conflicts with the villagers and was known for his helpfulness to the community. Prior to his role as a member of the Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mr. Kajae had served as an assistant village headman for over 15 years.
