‘Maris’ and ‘Audience of Han’ Unveil Logo Celebrating 50 Years of Thai-Chinese Relations.

Bangkok: Maris has collaborated with the Audience of Han to launch a commemorative logo celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China, marking the ‘Golden Year of Thai-Chinese Friendship’ under the strategic leadership of Xi Jinping and Paetongtarn. Mr. Maris Sengiampong, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with Mr. Han Zhiqiang, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, presided over the ceremony held at Suralai Hall, ICONSIAM. The event was attended by officials from both countries’ foreign ministries, representatives from the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association, and members from the private sector, public, and media.

According to Thai News Agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the enduring relationship between Thailand and China, highlighting that both nations have supported each other through various challenges over the past five decades. This cooperation has laid a solid foundation for deepening relations in the future, aiming to create a com
munity with a shared future. As part of the celebrations, several activities have been planned, including the enshrinement of the Lord Buddha’s relics from Lingguang Temple, Beijing, in Thailand for 73 days starting December 4, 2024. The initiative aims to raise public awareness of the longstanding friendship between the two countries and emphasize their unique bond.

Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Han Zhiqiang, highlighted the recent discussions between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Paetongtarn in Lima, Peru, where they reached significant agreements on enhancing bilateral relations. The logo launch signifies the commencement of a series of celebratory events marking the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand relations. Amidst global uncertainty, China remains committed to peaceful development and fostering a high-quality, people-centered, and open approach to growth. ng a prosperous future for both nations.

The event also featured discussions involving the Director-General of the Department of East Asian Affairs, representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association. Additionally, a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and POP MART INTERNATIONAL GROUP was announced, alongside activities featuring Thai actor Mr. Chanon Santinatornkul and a performance by the Faculty of Fine Arts, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute.
