Bangkok: MCOT Public Company Limited organized a special ceremony to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s birthday on August 12, 2025. The event featured a merit-making alms-giving ceremony for monks from Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek. This significant occasion was attended by Mr. Phatiyuth Jaisawang, Acting President and CEO, along with company executives and staff members. The ceremony was held to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on her birthday.
According to Thai News Agency, the event also included a ceremony to offer blessings to His Majesty the King. Mr. Phatiyut Chaisawang presided over this ceremony, which was attended by executives, news announcers, MCOT presenters, and staff. The presiding officer opened a flower krathong, presented incense sticks, and offered auspicious blessings to His Majesty the King.
As part of the ceremony, attendees signed a well-wishes book to express their loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty’s numerous royal duties. These duties particularly emphasize the promotion of quality of life, occupations, and livelihoods of the poor and rural population. His Majesty initiated the establishment of the Support Foundation for the Promotion of Special Arts and Crafts under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, aiming to promote occupations and preserve local arts. His Majesty also focuses on the well-being of his subjects, including their basic health and nutrition, undertaking important royal duties to alleviate suffering and ensure the good health and well-being of the people.
