Bangkok: MCOT executives paid tribute to Her Majesty the Queen Mother by signing a royal book of condolences and expressing their gratitude for her lifelong dedication to the Thai people.

According to Thai News Agency, this gesture took place at the Sala Sahathai Samakhom in the Grand Palace, where a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit was prominently displayed.

The executives of MCOT Public Company Limited expressed their appreciation for Her Majesty’s contributions to arts, culture, and her efforts in preserving Thai handicrafts and developing local careers. These actions have significantly promoted the quality of life and instilled a sense of pride in Thai culture.

Members of the public have consistently visited the location to sign their condolences, adhering to a formal mourning dress code. Women are encouraged to wear skirts, with free skirt and sarong loan services available for those needing appropriate attire. This service ensures that all visitors can pay their respects in the recommended manner.

The public’s commitment to honoring Her Majesty continues into its fourth day, with volunteers stepping up to offer various services. These services include transportation options like motorcycle taxis, buses, vans, tuk-tuks, and private motorcycles. Additionally, student volunteers are providing free services, and individuals like Uncle Sakon, a 78-year-old resident from Samut Prakan, are offering skills such as acupressure to ease the public’s physical discomfort from long journeys, all as a tribute to the royal family.
