Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of the dangers of heavy rain. Bangkok and its vicinity also face a 40% chance of thunderstorms.
According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department forecasts that over the next 24 hours, Thailand will experience less rain, but heavy rain will continue in some areas of the North, upper Northeast, and East, particularly in Nan, Tak, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, and Nakhon Phanom provinces. Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain. This is due to a low-pressure area covering northern Vietnam, coupled with the weakening of the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
Waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are weakening. In the Andaman Sea, waves will be 1-2 meters high, and higher than 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms. In the Gulf of Thailand, waves will be approximately 1 meter high, and 1-2 meters high offshore. In areas with thunderstorms, waves will be higher than 2 meters. Mariners in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are advised to proceed with caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
