Meteorology warns of heavy rain in some areas of the North, Upper Northeast and East.

The Meteorological Department has warned the North, upper Northeast and East that there will be heavy rain in some areas. People in these areas should be careful of the dangers of heavy rain. As for Bangkok and its vicinity, there will be a 60% chance of thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon to evening.

The Meteorological Department forecasts the weather for the next 24 hours in the North, upper Northeast, and East regions. Some areas will experience heavy rain. People in these areas should be aware of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. This is because the moderate monsoon trough is passing through the upper North and upper Laos, entering the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin, along with the southwest monsoon blowing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, which is moderate.

For waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, they are
moderate with waves 1-2 meters high. In areas with thunderstorms, waves are higher than 2 meters. Sailors are advised to avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.

In addition, a severe tropical storm, ‘Ompul,’ is covering the southern part of Japan. Those who plan to travel to the area should check the weather conditions before traveling.

Bangkok and its vicinity will have thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area, mostly in the afternoon to evening. Minimum temperature 25-27 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 34-36 degrees Celsius.
