Minister Johnny Will Monitor Telecommunications Services on the Homecoming Route

Central Jakarta, Kominfo – Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G. Plate will monitor telecommunications services on the homecoming route. Minister Johnny stated that the monitoring was also aimed at anticipating an increase in internet data traffic during homecoming and Eid 2022 trips.

“Tomorrow, I, together with telecommunications operators, will conduct a field review of telecommunications services for both going home and during Eid,” said the Minister of Communication and Information after the event releasing the 2022 Homecoming with Kominfo, from the front page of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics Office, Central Jakarta, Thursday (28/28). 04/2022).

According to Minister Johnny, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics continues to coordinate with telecommunications operators to prepare sufficient bandwidth so that people can use telecommunications services properly.

“Because the data traffic will definitely be very high and Kominfo will continue to coordinate with telecommunications operators. We have prepared for the availability of sufficient bandwidth , so that later there will be no shortage so that services are available properly because there is a new habit now on the way home, the traffic must be very large, “he said.

The Minister of Communication and Information stated that together with telecommunications operators, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics carries out bandwidth management to avoid interference, especially in locations with high internet data usage. 

“We are trying to prevent interference by doing bandwidth management . You will see that the traffic will be massive, we will continue to provide bandwidth there ,” he said.

Minister Johnny hopes that the public can use telecommunication facilities well, productively and efficiently. 

“Don’t let it be used for unnecessary things, such as spreading useless, useless news, it disrupts traffic and service quality,” he urged.

According to the Minister of Communication and Information, the use of the internet for unproductive things during the homecoming trip will be able to disrupt internet traffic.

“Where there is a sudden, massive use of usage, it will definitely disrupt traffic . To overcome this, there is only one way, we use it for useful things and don’t fill it with useless things,” he said.

Therefore, Minister Johnny reminded the public not to spread false news, because it is more useless. 

“Let’s use this well and for useful things, related to joy, friendship, related to religious events or expressions. Don’t let it be used for unnecessary things, such as for hoaxes to spread useless, useless news, disrupt traffic and service quality,” he said.

For information, tomorrow, Friday (29/04/2022), before monitoring telecommunication services on the Pantura and Sukabumi homecoming routes, the Minister of Communication and Information will hold a meeting with the television broadcasting ecosystem to discuss the development of the first phase of Analog Switch Off (ASO).

Then Minister Johnny will go to Cakrabuana Airport, Cirebon and monitor the readiness of telecommunication facilities by video conferencing with the person in charge of telecommunication services at the post along the homecoming route. Furthermore, monitoring the homecoming route in the Sukabumi area. The Minister of Communication and Information then gave information to media workers.
