Ministers Begin Moving Items Out of Government House After New Prime Minister’s Election

Bangkok: Ministers from the previous government have initiated the process of moving items out of Government House following the House of Representatives’ decision to elect Anutin as the new Prime Minister.

According to Thai News Agency, reporters observed that items have started to be gradually moved out of Government House after the House of Representatives voted in favor of a new prime minister. Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra’s ministers and staff members have dispatched teams to slowly relocate their belongings from the premises.

Before approximately 10:00 a.m., a six-wheeled truck, covered with a tarp, was seen departing the area behind the Thai Khu Fa building. Officials were on site to conduct cleaning operations and replace the air conditioning fluid in both the Thai Khu Fa building and the Command Building 1. Murals were also removed from the office of Ms. Hathai Thiwphaingam, the Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Reporters noted that despite it being the weekend, preparations were underway on both Saturday and Sunday to remove belongings associated with ministers from the previous government.
