Ministry invites people to visit Digital Transformation Expo

Communication and Informatics Ministry’s spokesperson  Dedy Permadi  at a virtual event on Thursday, urged people, specifically those in Bali, to visit the Digital Transformation Expo (DTE) organized as a side event of the G20 Summit.

G20 is a multilateral cooperation group that comprises 19 countries and the European Union (EU). Indonesia, which is holding the presidency of the grouping this year, will host the G20 Summit in Bali this month.

DTE is a technology exhibition prepared by the ministry as a side event in the G20 Summit.

The activity is open for the public and is held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Pecatu Hall 3 and 5, Badung, Bali, on November 13-17, 2022.

People keen to visit the exhibition can register through the website dte.g20.org free of charge.

DTE is an event that showcases various innovation developments and digital technology utilization from various sectors of the government and business world.

These innovations are undertaken as an effort to realize a more inclusive, empowering, and sustainable digital transformation to achieve resilient post-pandemic recovery.

During the #G20Updates G20’s Effective Solutions to Expedite Digital Transformation event, Permady said six areas of the exhibition that can be visited include the welcoming area that represents G20 countries’ collaboration in encouraging digital transformation.

A tunnel area will introduce Indonesia’s cultural diversity and natural beauty and will be another welcoming area for delegations, guests, and visitors.

A main area will provide information on the digital transformation journey in Indonesia to this day.

“Visitors can see how Indonesia has transformed digitally and what achievements have been made by Indonesia to this day,” he stated.

The next area is named the G20 Zone where visitors can observe digital transformation initiatives from G20 member countries. There is also the Wall of Collaboration area that features parties involved in the event.

The last area is the Futureverse or Metaverse Corner. This area aims to showcase the development of metaverse technology currently being developed by companies in Indonesia, Permady noted.

“Let us enjoy this event together to show the digital transformation potential of Indonesia and G20 countries,” he remarked.
