Bangkok: The Ministry of Interior has instructed governors of 76 provinces to organize merit-making ceremonies to express loyalty and condolence on the anniversaries of the late King’s passing. These activities are designed to unite communities in both central and regional areas, as well as internationally, in honoring the legacy of His Majesty the King and dedicating merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, announced that the Cabinet had approved the organization of these ceremonies on specific anniversaries: the seventh (Sattamawara), fifteenth (Pa±rasamwara), fiftieth (Panyasamwara), and one-hundredth (Sattamawara) days following the King’s passing. The ministry has communicated to all provincial governors the need to conduct these ceremonies at provincial halls or suitable locations on the following dates: October 30, 2025, November 7, 2025, December 12, 2025, and January 31, 2026.
Mr. Arsit outlined that the “Uniting of Loyalty” event, to be held within 100 days of the King’s passing, will feature activities such as cleaning public spaces, providing public services, visiting the sick, reading to the disabled, conducting religious ceremonies, organizing exhibitions, and making vows for the nation. These events will also include singing the Royal Anthem, along with other appropriate songs, and engaging in prayer, meditation, and good deeds following religious teachings.
Additionally, Mr. Arsit noted that October 30, 2025, marks the seventh day since the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. He encourages nationwide participation in the merit-making ceremonies, set to commence at 4:30 PM across various provinces. The dress code for the ceremonies specifies mourning attire for different groups, ensuring a unified expression of respect and remembrance.
