Material loss also occurs due to personal data theft, violation of intellectual property rights, and other fatal risks. Cybersecurity can also be one of the main efforts in the path to developing the Indonesian digital economy that is expected to strengthen the people’s trust to participate in digital economy. Moreover, various international-level agreements have started to spotlight collective intent and commitment to encourage digital economy, including at the ASEAN Summit 2023, Moegiarso noted. In addition, cybersecurity is not just a national issue but also a global one. By continuing to encourage the digital economy, the risk level will also rise, so it is important to make cybersecurity as one of the nation’s main priorities. Lastly, all government officials need to understand the context of cybersecurity and mitigation of several risks from all public services that have to be undertaken together. Digital economy is also part of digital transformation in which it became a potential sector that supports realization of the Indonesia Vision 2045. The government continues to push the development of digital economy to improve the productivity of entrepreneurs, specifically Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
