The Ministry of Manpower stated that the government had disbursed Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) to 11.67 million beneficiaries until December 5, 2022, and would pursue distribution of the remaining 8.8 percent of the target.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower Anwar Sanusi remarked that BSU had been distributed to 11.67 million beneficiaries as of December 5, 2022, from the target of 12.7 million workers.
Of this figure, distribution through the Post Office was successfully conducted for 2.7 million recipients while the remaining was administered by transfer through banks belonging to the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara).
“The remaining BSU distribution that we are pursuing is currently only 8.8 percent of the target. We are optimistic that in the remaining time, with various efforts, BSU distribution through the Post Office can be conducted entirely to recipients,” Sanusi noted in a written statement received here Wednesday.
He ensured that the ministry will continue to accelerate the distribution of this year’s salary subsidy that is expected to be fully distributed before the deadline on December 20, 2022.
To this end, Sanusi reminded workers participating in the Workers Social Security Program (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) that meet the BSU recipient requirement to check the channels that have been provided.
Independent checks can be conducted through the ministry’s website, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Post Office application.
Sanusi remarked that the remaining BSU funds that had not been disbursed by the specified deadline would be returned to the state treasury. Hence, all related parties are expected to help one another in order to distribute BSU to the recipients.
“We hope that the person in charge of BSU distribution in the company along with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in their respective areas will continue to actively monitor and remind workers, who meet the BSU requirements, to immediately process the disbursal,” he stated.
