MU Awards 223 Scholarships to Underprivileged Students

Bangkok: MU has provided 223 scholarships to students in need of financial support as part of an initiative by the Foundation for Underprivileged Students under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen. This effort aims to create educational opportunities that could significantly impact the lives of these students.

According to Thai News Agency, the scholarship awarding ceremony was presided over by Mr. Suravat Chomphupong, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Foundation for Underprivileged Students. The event, which took place at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Law, was attended by advisory board members, donors, teachers, and parents. Mr. Chomphupong presented a royal portrait from Her Majesty the Queen Mother to the donors during the ceremony.

The Chairman of the Executive Board of NK University encouraged the scholarship recipients to focus on their studies and make the most of the opportunities provided by these scholarships. He emphasized that education can be a pivotal turning point in life, urging students to work hard to reach their dreams.

The scholarships consist of various awards including 34 ‘Nawarut’ royal scholarships, 63 NECTEC scholarships, 20 ‘NECTEC in Honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s 90th Birthday Anniversary Scholarships’, 15 ‘NECTEC in Honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 68th Birthday Anniversary Scholarships’, and 80 ‘NECTEC in Honor of His Royal Highness Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 60th Birthday Anniversary Scholarships’. This totals 223 scholarships aimed at fostering educational advancement for underprivileged students.
