Prachin buri: A fatal altercation between two Myanmar workers at a camp in Prachin Buri Province resulted in one being stabbed to death.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred in Village No. 7, Ban Thung Bua Ngam, where the two workers engaged in a heated argument that escalated into a knife fight. The victim, an unidentified male, was stabbed eight times before succumbing to his injuries in front of the camp entrance.

Investigators from the Ra Bo Pai Police Station, along with forensic and medical teams, responded to the scene. They discovered the deceased clad only in shorts, bearing stab wounds on various parts of his body, including his right thigh, mid-back, chin, chest, and stomach. A blood-stained fruit knife was found near the entrance, while another similar knife was located on a bed inside the camp room.

Upon the arrival of authorities, several workers fled into the nearby forest. Officials managed to detain two individuals, although communication proved difficult due to language barriers and intoxication. Other workers present at the camp provided no substantial information during questioning.

Initial investigations suggest that the two workers resorted to grabbing nearby fruit knives during their dispute. The deceased was unable to defend himself and was fatally wounded by his opponent, who then fled the scene. The suspected perpetrator remains at large, believed to be hiding in the surrounding forest.

Authorities transported more than 30 workers to the police station for further questioning as efforts to apprehend the suspect continue.
