Bueng Kan: Minister Narumon confirmed that she had not received a signal for a cabinet reshuffle. She ordered all departments to prepare information and explanations to be ready for a no-confidence debate in the government. As for the transfer of the Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Science, she is waiting for the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry to organize the system and accelerate the implementation of fruit management measures in 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and leader of the Klatham Party, discussed the no-confidence debate during a visit to Seka School in Seka District, Bueng Kan Province. She stated that every department within the Ministry of Agriculture has been tasked with preparing information and responses to clarify the ministry’s work since Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, and her government began their tenure seven months ago.
Regarding rumors of a cabinet reshuffle, Narumon, who is expected to be transferred to become the Deputy Minister of Finance, reiterated that there is no reshuffle planned. She emphasized that these rumors are outdated and that the Prime Minister has addressed the matter. She noted that she had not received any indications of an imminent reshuffle and suggested that inquiries about it should be directed to the Prime Minister.
Concerning the order to assist the Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Science, the ministry is currently awaiting action from the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture to properly organize the system. Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture is focusing on implementing fruit management measures for the year 2025.
