Narumon Pinyosinwat Deflects Responsibility for Deputy Speaker Quota to Coalition Parties

Bangkok: “Narumon” throws the blame to the coalition parties to clear the quota for the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives. Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, the Minister of Education and leader of the Klatham Party, addressed the ongoing discussions regarding the quota for the second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, revealing that these conversations are still underway among the coalition parties.

According to Thai News Agency, Mrs. Narumon responded to queries about Ms. Manop Charoensri’s statement. Ms. Manop, who serves as the Deputy Minister of Transport and is a leader of the Pheu Thai Party, claimed that the Deputy Speaker position is reserved for the Pheu Thai Party. Mrs. Narumon indicated that she would leave the matter to be resolved through discussions among the involved parties, emphasizing her role outside the House of Representatives and within the Kla Tham Party. She further mentioned that any decision regarding the Kla Tham Party stepping down would depend on deliberations among government whips.
