Bangkok: The Nida Poll reveals that both the populace and political parties are struggling to identify the ideal candidate for Prime Minister. The survey results indicate a decline in popularity for the Prachachon Party and its leader, as well as for the Pheu Thai and Ruam Thai Sang Chart parties. Conversely, there is an upward trend in support for Anutin Charnvirakul and the Bhumjaithai Party.
According to Thai News Agency, the “3rd Quarterly Political Popularity Survey 2025” conducted by the Nida Poll assessed current political preferences. In response to who the public would support as Prime Minister, 27.28 percent indicated they had not yet found the right person, with this being a first-time sentiment for 23.70 percent and a second-time sentiment for 19.88 percent in 2025.
In second place, 22.80 percent of respondents supported Mr. Natthaphong Ruangpanyawut of the People’s Party, with 25.80 percent doing so for the first time in 2025 and 31.48 percent for the second time. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul of the Bhumjaithai Party was third, garnering 20.44 percent support, with initial support of 2.85 percent and subsequent support of 9.64 percent in 2025.
Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan of the Thai Sang Thai Party came fourth with 7.16 percent, with 3.90 percent support for the first time and 6.12 percent for the second time in 2025. Mr. Chaikasem Nitisiri of the Pheu Thai Party was fifth, receiving 6.76 percent support, with no first-time support and 0.20 percent for the second time in 2025.
Regarding party support, 33.08 percent of respondents favored the People’s Party, with 37.10 percent support in the first round and 46.08 percent in the second round of 2025. In second place, 21.64 percent of people had not yet chosen a suitable party, with initial and subsequent support of 13.75 percent and 7.72 percent in 2025, respectively.
The Pheu Thai Party ranked third with 13.96 percent, receiving 28.05 percent support in the first round and 11.52 percent in the second round of 2025. The Bhumjaithai Party followed closely in fourth place with 13.24 percent, with initial support of 3.35 percent and subsequent support of 9.76 percent in 2025. The Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party was fifth, with 6.12 percent support, receiving 8.75 percent for the first time and 13.24 percent for the second time in 2025.
