Noppadon Resigns as Pheu Thai MP, Acknowledges Leadership

Bangkok: Noppadon announced his resignation as a Pheu Thai Party-list MP, expressing his gratitude to Thaksin and Potjaman, while Rungreung Pitayasiri moved up the ranks in his place. Mr. Noppadon Pattama, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and a party-list MP for the Pheu Thai Party, posted on his personal Facebook page, stating, “Statement by Mr. Noppadon Pattama requesting to resign as an MP for the Pheu Thai Party. I am resigning as a member of the House of Representatives, party-list system, Pheu Thai Party, effective September 6, 2025, to work on human development law and work to repay the country.

According to Thai News Agency, Noppadon expressed his deepest gratitude to former Prime Ministers Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra and Khunying Potjaman Damapong, as well as the Pheu Thai Party. He also extended his best wishes to his fellow MPs and party members with whom he has worked, wishing them luck and success in their work for the people.

Reporters reported that the next person to replace Mr. Noppadon on the Pheu Thai Party’s list of MPs is Dr. Rungruang Pittayasiri.
