Normalcy Reported in Seven Thai-Cambodian Border Provinces

Bangkok: The National Security Council reports that the situation in seven border provinces is normal. There were no clashes from 6:00 PM yesterday until 7:00 AM this morning.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office and the Thai-Cambodian Border Situation Administration Committee (TCASAC), revealed that from late last night until this morning, there were no reports of clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border in any of the seven provinces.

The Government Spokesperson and the Director of TCASAC have requested the governors of all seven provinces, along with administrative officials at district, sub-district, and village headman levels, to expedite safety surveys in their areas. Residents are being informed that they can return to their hometowns if deemed safe. However, areas that remain unsafe should be clearly identified to encourage people to delay their return.

The public is urged to notify police or local government officials, including district chiefs, sub-district heads, and village heads, if they observe unmanned aircraft or drones intruding into risky areas.
