Bangkok: Schedule details for the SPLASH event have been unveiled, featuring three prime ministers-Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Thaksin Shinawatra, and Settha Thavisin-who will present their visions at the largest Soft Power festival in Southeast Asia. The event aims to unite 14 creative industries to propel Thailand towards a sustainable economic future.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, is set to attend the “SPLASH – Soft Power Forum 2025” at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on July 8. She will deliver an opening speech on “Thailand Rising: Tourism, Education and the New Soft Power Frontier” from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The ‘SPLASH – Soft Power Forum 2025’ is a collaboration between the government and the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA). It will run from July 8 to July 11, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event will highlight Thailand’s soft power under the theme ‘Thailand’s Opportunities in the Creative Cultural Industry’, described as a ‘river of opportunities’ for nurturing Thai cultural capital into a sustainable economy through 14 integrated soft power industries.
A major feature of the event is the Visionary Stage, which will bring together leading experts from Thailand and abroad to discuss ‘cultural value’ and exchange ideas. On July 9, 2025, Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, the 23rd Prime Minister, will present his vision on ‘Crafting the Future: From OTOP to ThaiWORKS and Beyond’ from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
On July 10, 2025, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Mr. Settha Thavisin, the 30th Prime Minister, will engage in a discussion with “Buakaw” Banchamek and “Tennis” Panipak Wongpattanakit on “Rethinking Thai Sports in a Disruptive Era”.
The event is divided into six main zones to showcase Thai soft power comprehensively:
1. Creative Culture Village – Features 14 Thai creative industries in an interactive format.
2. THACCA Pavilion – Offers knowledge and strategies for building Thai brands with soft power.
3. Glo-Cal Networking – Connects investors with entrepreneurs globally.
4. Workshop and Masterclass – Provides training for youth and entrepreneurs under the ‘One Family One Soft Power (OFOS)’ project.
5. Experiential Zone – Displays ‘Multisensory Mindfulness Experiences’ technology.
6. Visionary Stage – Hosts a world-class forum for inspiring the creative economy.
The ‘SPLASH – Soft Power Forum 2025’ is organized with support from the Ministry of Culture and other national and international committees to enhance Thai soft power globally. The event is free to attend with prior registration at splash.
