Paethongtarn Arrives at Constitutional Court, Declines to Discuss Birthday Wishes

Bangkok: Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, arrived at the Constitutional Court smiling, yet declined to answer media questions about her birthday wishes. The hearing was related to an audio clip of her conversation with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen.

According to Thai News Agency, Paethongtarn arrived at 9:27 a.m., maintaining her composure and greeting the media with a traditional wai. As she celebrated her 39th birthday, some media members acknowledged the occasion with a “Happy Birthday” gesture. However, when asked about her birthday desires and her morale after making merit the previous day, she chose not to respond, simply offering a smile and a wai before entering the courtroom with Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, her Secretary-General, and her legal team.

Following her arrival, her husband, Mr. Pitak Suksawat, and her elder sister, Ms. Pinthongtha Shinawatra, entered the building to provide their support. Additionally, former senators Mr. Somchai Saengkan and Mr. Direkrit Jenkrongtham were also present to observe the proceedings.
