Paethongtarn Unfazed by Cambodia’s Ceasefire Violation

Bangkok: Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, has expressed her lack of surprise at Cambodia’s breach of the ceasefire agreement, emphasizing the necessity for accountability from the nations that acted as witnesses to the agreement. She plans to consult with Bhumtham regarding the issue.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn recently updated her team on the situation, highlighting the importance of informing the countries that testified to the ceasefire about this development. She remarked on her expectation of such behavior, noting the absence of gentlemanliness in Cambodia’s actions.

In response to inquiries about whether the government will issue a new statement following Cambodia’s breach of the ceasefire, Ms. Paethongtarn indicated her intention to discuss the matter with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, who is currently serving as the acting prime minister.
