YALA: A homeowner was shocked when a 4-meter long, approximately 10-kilogram king cobra was hiding behind a wardrobe in the bedroom. Rescue workers captured it and released it back into the wild. According to Thai News Agency, the Muslim Betong Rescue Unit received a report from villagers in Than Namthip Subdistrict, Betong District, Yala Province about a large black snake in the house. At the scene, Ms. Sati Na, the owner of the house, was found standing in front of the house in a state of shock. She said that the snake was in the bedroom, but she did not know what kind of snake it was. Rescue volunteers investigated and found a large king cobra hiding behind a wardrobe in the bedroom. They carefully brought in equipment to catch it.

It took officers about 20 minutes to catch the snake, which was 4.08 meters long and weighed about 10 kilograms. They put it in a sack and released it back into the wild.
