Attention should be paid to political and ideological education for journalists to help them understand their role as “pioneering soldiers” on the ideological and cultural frontlines of the Party, said a Party official. The statement was made by Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the committee’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia at a working session in Hanoi on June 16 with the Party Delegation to the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA).
