Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has announced the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, through the Royal Thai Government Public Relations Department. The statement, delivered with deep sorrow, acknowledged the profound impact of Her Majesty’s passing on the Thai nation. Her Majesty Queen Sirikit passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society.

Her Majesty, affectionately known as the “Mother of the Land,” was cherished for her unwavering dedication to the people of Thailand. Her inspirational presence and compassionate heart have left an indelible mark on the nation, earning her the title of the “greatest mother of the Thai nation.”

Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s legacy is characterized by her extensive royal duties performed with wisdom and diligence during the reign of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.
