Pattaya in Chaos as Foreign Man on Big Bike Crashes into Officer, Flees into Thickets.

Pattaya: A foreign man riding a big bike through a checkpoint crashed into an officer, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground. The incident threw the city into chaos early this morning.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Jomtien Second Road, Nongprue Subdistrict, Banglamung District, Chon Buri Province. The foreign man was riding a Honda CB650 motorcycle with a Bangkok license plate when he went through a checkpoint and collided with an officer. The impact caused the officer to fall and hit his head on the ground, resulting in serious injuries. Despite efforts by police and rescue workers to restrain the man, he managed to struggle free and fled into nearby bushes.

The situation escalated as more than 50 police officers were deployed to surround the area in an attempt to apprehend the suspect. The foreign man was eventually located, hiding and attempting to evade capture by running into the sea. However, he was recognized by some officers who prom
ptly arrested him. The suspect was taken to the Pattaya City Police Station, Khong Dong Tan Branch, where he refused to submit to a breathalyzer test.

In response to the suspect’s non-cooperation, authorities proceeded to check the motorcycle’s history to identify and contact the owner who had rented it to the foreign man. With the suspect still refusing to cooperate, police took him into custody and sent him to the hospital for an alcohol test to further the investigation of the case.
