Bangkok: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has extended its concern and support to individuals impacted by the floods and unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border. PEA’s initiative involves the distribution of over 2,000 relief bags to those affected, as part of an effort led by Mr. Mongkol Trikitjanon, Governor of the PEA. Executives, staff, PEA technical students, and employees joined together at the PEA Headquarters to pack the relief bags, which aim to alleviate the hardships faced by the affected communities.
According to Thai News Agency, the relief effort was supported by a diverse group of co-sponsors, including the Electric Fiber Foundation and several PEA-related organizations such as the Provincial Electricity Authority Housewives and Families Group, PEA Encom International Co., Ltd., and the Provincial Electricity Authority Employees Savings and Credit Union. Other contributors included the Provincial Electricity Authority State Enterprise Labor Union, the PEA Technical School Alumni Association, and the Provincial Electricity Authority Muslim Club, among others. The total support for the initiative amounted to 590,450 baht.
PEA has also called on the public to join in their efforts to assist those affected by the crises. Contributions can be made to the “PEA Helps Disaster Victims” savings account at Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Provincial Electricity Authority Branch. Donors are advised to use Company Code: 7311 when making transfers to waive transfer fees.
