Bangkok: Peck Palitchoke, a well-known individual, recently left the hospital and discreetly made his way to the Huamark Police Station to provide a statement regarding an incident at a gas station in the Ramkhamhaeng area. As the police proceed with the case, two charges have been filed against him, while the results of a drug test from his hair are still pending.
According to Thai News Agency, Police Colonel Naren Krungsanuk, the Superintendent of Huamark Police Station, disclosed details of the ongoing investigation. Peck’s statement during questioning was consistent with CCTV footage, and he openly admitted to the facts. Although he did not disclose further details, it was affirmed that the offense of assault, involved in the situation, is criminal in nature and cannot be resolved outside of court, regardless of the victim’s stance on civil damages.
Initially, charges of assault and causing a public nuisance have been pressed against Peck. Additional charges may arise depending on any complaints from the property owner regarding damages. The outcome of the hair drug test is eagerly awaited, as the presence of prohibited substances could lead to further legal action. However, the results are likely to be delayed due to the holiday season, and the temporary closure of the Institute of Forensic Science.
On the day of the incident, August 3rd, Peck confessed to being intoxicated and losing consciousness, which contributed to the disorderly conduct. The van driver, who witnessed the event and remained conscious, is also expected to provide a statement to the investigators in the near future.
