Singapore: The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour extended his gratitude to ASEAN members for their collaborative efforts in labor cooperation during the ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Meeting held in Singapore. This acknowledgment highlights the region’s collective commitment to enhancing labor relations and knowledge sharing among member countries.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, participated in the Meeting of the ASEAN Permanent Secretaries of Labour (SLOM) as part of the 20th ASEAN Senior Labour Officials Meeting (20th SLOM+3). He was accompanied by Mr. Sakdinat Sonthisakyothin, Assistant Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Wuttisak Pathomsat, Minister Counsellor (Labour) at the Labour Office in Singapore, and other delegates.
The meeting focused on the upcoming 28th ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Meeting and preparations for the 22nd ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SLOM+3) and the 13th ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Meeti
ng (ALMM+3). Mr. Thapchaiyut concluded the gathering by expressing appreciation to the ASEAN Member States and participants for their valuable contributions and cooperation during the SLOM. He also thanked the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore, for their efforts in organizing and facilitating the event. The Ministry of Labour of Thailand reiterated its dedication to furthering labor cooperation across ASEAN.
