Bangkok: A Pheu Thai Party spokesperson invited the public to inquire about the 2016 budget debate, scheduled for August 13-15, emphasizing that special committees from various parties have taken into account appropriateness and necessity, pointing out that the budget will be used to drive the country’s economy.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Danupon Punnakanta, a Pheu Thai Party list MP and spokesperson, announced at a press conference that the 2026 Budget Bill, second and third readings, would be considered from August 13-15, 2025. He emphasized that this matter is crucial in determining the country’s economic direction and that the Pheu Thai Party is committed to allocating the budget to address the challenges facing the country.
The special committee, attended by representatives from all political parties, discussed the necessity of allocations, whether for projects by the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defense, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the necessity and appropriateness of budget allocation. Therefore, we would like to inform the public that there will be a review, and each MP will debate according to the reserved amendment.
“I’m confident that once the budget is finalized, we’ll be prepared to use this money to address the challenges facing the people and the nation, whether economic or other issues. I believe this money will be beneficial in driving the national economy,” said Mr. Danupon.
