Pheu Thai Set to Analyze and Announce Policy by September End

Bangkok: The Pheu Thai Party is gearing up to disclose and analyze the new government’s policy on September 29-30, focusing on key areas such as the economy, politics, and society.

According to Thai News Agency, the Pheu Thai Party held its routine weekly meeting led by Wisut Chainarun, a party-list MP and Pheu Thai MP president. Notable attendees included party leaders like Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Phumtham Wechayachai, Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Sa Kaeo MP Sorawong Thienthong, and the party’s secretary-general Suthin Khlangsaeng.

Danupon Punnakanta, a party-list MP and spokesperson for the Pheu Thai Party, revealed that the meeting involved extensive discussions in preparation for the impending debate on the new government’s policy statement, which is slated to be presented to Parliament on September 29-30. The Pheu Thai Party remains confident and ready, with a clear structure in place for members across senior, middle, and new levels to address various work groups touching on economics, politics, and social issues. Despite the government’s four-month term from the policy statement to Parliament, Pheu Thai aims to address the people’s concerns during this period. The party is yet to see the draft statement but plans to scrutinize it thoroughly, offering constructive criticism and feedback to aid the government in its remaining months before the expected dissolution of Parliament next year, as pledged by the Bhumjaithai and Prachachon parties. The effectiveness of the government’s policies will be monitored to ensure they serve the pe
ople’s interests.
