Phichit: The provincial abbot of Phichit, Phra Thep Wachirasidhimethi, has decided to disrobe following a scandal that emerged involving a female golfer known as Ms. Golf. This decision came after a conversation between the abbot and the golfer was leaked, revealing an exchange of sweet words and a request from the abbot not to let certain photos be leaked. As of this morning, Phra Thep Wachirasidhimethi was not seen at his usual locations.

According to Thai News Agency, a resignation letter from Phra Thep Wachirasidhimethi has been submitted, confirming his departure not only as the provincial abbot of Phichit but also as the abbot of Wat Tha Luang. In related developments, Ms. Golf is reported to be preparing to provide additional testimony to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) regarding the matter.
