Rayong: The GLO Cup 2025 Eastern and Metropolitan Region Qualifying Round has entered the second day of its intense 8-a-side Youth Football Tournament, with Phlo Ta Luang Witthaya School and Rayong Wittayakom FC successfully emerging as top contenders in both Under-13 and Under-15 categories. The thrilling competitions are being held at two prominent venues: the Royal Navy Stadium for the Under-13s and the Naval Fleet Stadium for the Under-15s, hosting 48 teams aiming for a spot in the final 24.
According to Thai News Agency, the Under-13 category witnessed impressive performances in Group E, where Pattaya United dominated with three consecutive wins, securing the top spot with 22 goals scored and just one conceded. Buakaew Kesorn School followed in second place. In Group F, Tha Kham Pittayakhom School claimed first place with three wins, while Assumption Sriracha School came second. Group G saw Phlo Ta Luang Witthaya School excel, topping the group with a flawless record, and Benchamanuson School taking second place. Rayong Wittayakom FC led Group H, with Assumption Rayong securing the runner-up position after a close contest with KR NAYOK CITY and Pattaya City School 7.
In the Under-15 category, Phlo Ta Luang Witthaya School continued their strong performance, leading Group E with a perfect score. Sporting Thailand followed in second place. Group F was topped by Suankularb Wittayalai Nonthaburi School, with Selo Academy in second. PMR Academy led Group G, while Nawamintharachinuthit Suankularb Wittayalai Samut Prakan School held the second position. Rayong Wittayakom FC dominated Group H, and Rajvithi Bangkaew School finished as runners-up.
The excitement in the GLO Cup 2025 is building as 16 teams have now advanced to the next stage of 24, with tomorrow marking the final opportunity for the remaining teams in this round to secure their place in the Thailand Championship.
