Mr. Phatthana Boonsawat, Secretary-General of the Windsurfing Association, stated that the athletes performed commendably, holding their own against European competitors. Female athletes Athicha and Siriporn’s top 13 finishes were particularly pleasing. Miss Chanatkan, who had to compete in a higher age category due to lack of divisions, maintained her focus throughout. In the male youth category, Ratchanon and Wachirawit Manbamrung showcased their skills, both finishing in the top 9.
For the male athletes, while Nitipat, Phasapong, and Wachirawit Thon-up faced tough competition, they still achieved respectable rankings. This experience not only familiarized the athletes with European conditions but also boosted their confidence ahead of the ‘Windsurfing World Championship’ in Denmark from July 4-11, 2025. Six Thai athletes have qualified for this major event, including Nitipat Chaiwutthiwet, Phasapong Lianglum, Wachirawit Thon-up in the general male category, and Athicha Homraruen, Siriporn Kaewduangngam, and Miss Chanatkan Charoensuk in the general female category, under the guidance of head coach Mr. Sakda Sakulfang and youth coach Mr. Nattapong Phonnoparat.
