West Manggarai, NTT (ANTARA) – State-run electricity company PT PLN maintains the reliability of the electricity system at 16 venues for the upcoming ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).”In all venues, we will provide an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), build a system that is supported by generators, then supply the electricity from PLN in layers,” said Darmawan Prasodjo, the company’s president director, on Sunday. During a roll-call for PLN’s readiness to secure the 42nd ASEAN Summit at the Engine Power Plants Gas (PLTMG) Rangko in West Manggarai, he said the security points at 16 points are divided into two criteria: the three-layer security and the two-layer security. For three-layer security, PLN provides electricity reliability at the main locations of the summit, namely the Meruorah Labuan Bajo Hotel and the Ayana Labuan Bajo Hotel. Three-layer electricity security is also carried out at VVIP accommodations, namely Ayana Hotel, Sudamala Resort, Plataran Komodo, Meruorah Komodo, Sylvia Hotel, Bintang Flores Hotel, and La Prima Hotel. Three-layer electricity security is also enforced at the Komodo Airport terminal, VVIP Airport, MICE Tanamori, and Waringin Peak. Two-layer electricity security will be available at the Komodo Hospital, Siloam Hospital, security posts such as the West Manggarai Police, Labuan Bajo Naval Base, West Manggarai Komodo Military Command, and the PLN Command Center. In order to guarantee a reliable supply of electricity at priority venues, PLN is securing the supply of venues consisting of 70 units of UPS, the Labuan Bajo network system, and 35 units of mobile substations, he said. Moreover, there are also 31 units of PLN generators, 576 standby officers, and 93 units of operational vehicles, he disclosed. “For all venues, we will work hard to realize a zero downtime system,” he added. The roll-call was also attended by NTT Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat, Deputy of West Manggarai District Yulianus Weng, and the West Manggarai Regional Leadership Communication Forum. The 42nd ASEAN Summit will take place on May 9-11, 2023, in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, NTT.
