Pos Indonesia supporting MSMEs through warehousing services

Hence, they can store it (their goods) here (at the fulfillment center) for free first, then pay for it (the STORI service) when it (the product) is sold. Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Pos Indonesia is providing warehousing services to support the distribution of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) products, the director of courier and logistics business at the state-run postal company, Siti Choiriana, has said.”It can bring MSMEs closer to the market because when a customer demands (the products) we can send it quickly because the goods have been (stored) in our warehouse. Thus, we can carry out a same-day (delivery) service,” she told ANTARA here on Thursday. Her party is working to ensure that the service makes the business process of MSMEs and e-commerce players easier–in accordance with the title of the service, namely STORI, which stands for “Solutions, Together we grow, Organize, Responsible, and Increase your revenue.” The director informed that STORI, which was established in 2021, is a fulfillment center that provides product storing, shelving, packing, and shipping services. These activities are monitored through a digital dashboard. “We manage it (the fulfillment center) very well to ensure that the goods do not get damaged,” she said. “(If MSME players store their products) at home, a child might kick them (the products) and the house will become untidy. You (business actors) can entrust it (your products) to us,” she added. The warehouse service can accommodate small, medium, and large volumes of beauty, fashion, packaged food, or fresh food products. Pos Indonesia has set a very affordable rate for the service, which is 3 percent of the price of the goods. Business players who use the service will only be charged when their goods are delivered to buyers. “This STORI service is (built) for MSMEs since usually, MSME players lack capital, thus (sometimes) they cannot provide an up-front payment,” Choiriana explained. “Hence, they can store it (their goods) here (at the fulfillment center) for free first, then pay for it (the STORI service) when it (the product) is sold,” she added. She said that STORI warehouses have been established in Tambun, Bekasi, Surabaya, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Medan, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Balikpapan, Makassar, and Denpasar. “MSME players who are interested in using the warehouse service can register on www.stori.co.id,” she added. baca-jugaRelated news: Ministry hosts program to promote entrepreneurship at varsitybaca-jugaRelated news: Ministry: Deceptive tactics used in import of used clothingRelated news: SMEs Ministry aims to digitalize 30 million MSMEs by 2024
