PPRP Welcomes 21 New Candidates, Sees Significant Shift from Pheu Thai

Bangkok: The Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) has introduced 21 prospective MP candidates, marking a significant influx of former Pheu Thai youth members joining the ranks of ‘Uncle Pom.’ Many of these new candidates hail from the Northeast region, with notable figures such as Nukul Saengsiri and Sakda Kongphet among them.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Santi Promphat, Deputy Leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, expressed gratitude to the new candidates for aligning with the party’s vision. He emphasized the party’s commitment to working for the people and the country, with policies aimed at improving the quality of life for the youth, creating job opportunities, and developing rural communities. The party’s agenda focuses on areas such as agriculture and education to ensure that the youth can compete on an international level.

Reporters noted that the majority of the 21 candidates introduced by the PPRP are former MPs and previous candidates from the Pheu Thai Party. The list includes individuals like Mrs. Yanyongrat Chaiyasiwamongkol, Mr. Wirat Phuthongjai, and Mrs. Phonphen Boonsiriwattanakul, among others. These candidates bring a wealth of experience from their previous roles and are expected to strengthen the PPRP’s position in the upcoming elections.
