Prachin Buri Residents Witness Third Day of Unidentified Drone Activity

Prachin buri: Prachin Buri continues to see drones for the third consecutive day. Six large drones were recently spotted flying over a distance of over 40 kilometers. Residents are asking that if they belong to a government agency, they be notified in advance to reduce panic.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident began around 7:00 PM in the evening. Several villagers within a 20-kilometer radius of Prachin Buri city reported seeing drones flying in the sky, a sight that has continued to be seen over the past two to three days.

Reporters were able to capture footage of large drones, each flying about 3-5 minutes apart, flying in a straight line, and flying back and forth between Prachantakham District and Ban Sang District approximately three times from 7:30 p.m. until midnight.

Initially, the NBTC dispatched a mobile vehicle to monitor the controller’s signal. The drone’s signal was detected, but the source of the control signal has yet to be determined. Officials are continuing their investigation throughout the night, in close coordination with military units in the area.

However, residents in several areas have requested through the media that if drone flights during this time are tests or operations by government or military agencies, they should be officially notified in advance to build confidence and reduce panic. Over the past two to three days, many drones have been observed flying in the airspace of Prachin Buri Province, and it has been difficult to determine which side they belong to.

Prachin Buri Province is home to several military units, raising concerns about security and safety. Authorities are continuing to closely investigate the origin and purpose of the drone flights.
