Preparations for ASEAN Para Games Progressing Smoothly, Says SAT Governor

Nakhon ratchasima: Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), has revealed that preparations for the 13th ASEAN Para Games are advancing as planned. Thailand is set to host the prestigious event from January 20-26, 2026, in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Dr. Kongsak expressed satisfaction with the current progress, highlighting the ongoing preparations of the Thai national para-athlete team. He noted that the sports associations responsible for the athletes are performing exceptionally, and the athletes themselves are dedicated to their training.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kongsak also provided updates on the construction of the National Sports Training Center for the Disabled, situated at the 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium, which is advancing ahead of schedule. This facility will serve as a training ground for athletes participating in the 13th ASEAN Para Games. Once completed, the center will be fully accessible to athletes, enhancing their preparation for the upcoming games.

Dr. Kongsak emphasized that the center will offer state-of-the-art facilities, adhering to international standards, for Thai national athletes with disabilities. He added that the Sports Authority of Thailand will support the athletes with sports science resources, ensuring they maximize the benefits of the new training center.
