Preservation Efforts Underway for 800-Year-Old Heritage Tree in Ha Tinh Province


HA TINH PROVINCE: In the serene landscape of Ha Tinh province, an 800-year-old Trôi tree serves as a historical sentinel in Huong Vinh commune, Huong Khe district. This tree, revered as a vital part of the community’s natural heritage, symbolizes the enduring pride and cultural identity of local residents.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the ancient Trôi tree is recognized as one of Vietnam’s rare heritage trees. Measuring over 27 meters in height, with a trunk circumference of 8.2 meters and a canopy spreading 40 meters, the tree exhibits a formidable presence. Its strong roots and extensive branches offer both aesthetic appeal and ecological benefits, providing a habitat for various species. Conservationists and local authorities are reportedly collaborating on efforts to preserve this natural monument, ensuring its legacy for future generations.
